Recently, I bought a book, Tuesdays with Morrie. I've long heard of this book but never had a chance to read it, or perhaps, I couldn't be bothered then.
This story really caught my attention, with all the beautiful and meaningful quotes. I will cut short with what the story is about and share some interesting paragraphs I've read in my next few entries. You will fall in love with this book. It really helps me see life in a different light. The world is not that profound after all.
I've just read this on the chapter of Death. In this chapter, Morrie was a dying man, on a wheelchair.
"You can go out there, outside, anytime. You can run up and down the block and go crazy. I can't do that. I can't go out. I can't be out there without fear of getting sick. But you know what? I Appreciate that window more than you do. I look out that window everyday. I notice the change in trees, how strong the wind is blowing. It's as if I can see time actually passing through that window pane. Because I know my time is almost done, I am drawn to nature like I'm seeing it for the first time."
How many of us actually have tried to see what Morrie saw? I didn't. I did not see either time or life passing in slow motion outside the window.
Too busy.
